KAMBO

What is Kambo?

Kambo is the venomous secretions of phyllomedusa bicolor the giant monkey tree frog from the Amazon forest. It can be found in the rainforest regions of northern Brazil, eastern Peru, south, eastern Columbia , and parts of Venezuela, Bolivia, and the Guianas. Kambo has been used for thousands of years and is traditionally used to clear “panema” . Panema is translated as “bad luck”.

To understand kambo better, one should study the peptides. There are over 120 peptides in kambo, each targeting different areas in the body.

Adenoregulein

Works through adenosine receptors (fundamental component in all human fuel cells). Offer target for treating depression, stroke, seizures, cognitive loss.

Antibiotic and antimicrobial peptide; defensive against fungi responsible for severe infections, bacteria, and Protozoa, and viruses that cause infection.

Bombesins

stimulates secretion of hydrochloric acid and pancreatic secretion.

Intestinal myoelectric activity.

Caerulein and Sauvagine

Contributes to heightened sensory perception and increased stamina. Enhances endurance. Increases physical strength. Enhances capacity to manage physical pain and stress. Interacts with the pituitary-adrenal axis and corticotropin (releasing receptors) involved in stress, anxiety, depression, and addictive behavior. Cause a fall in blood pressure accompanied by tachycardia. Promotes keen sensory perception, improves stamina, solid analgesic effect, boosts physical strength, and overall enhances the capability to regulate physical pain and stress.

Deltorphin

Opioid receptor agonists. Highest affinity and selectivity to delta opioid receptors of any natural compound. Powerful painkiller, 4000 times stronger than morphine.

Dermorphin

Highly selective for mu opioid receptors and a powerful painkiller, 4000 times stronger than morphine and 40 times stronger than endogenic b-endorphines. Transforms the immune system, harmonizes the endocrine, digestive, and lymphatic system.

Dermaseptin B2

Posses anticancer and antiangiogenic activities. (Antiangiogenic- of or relating to a naturally occurring substance, drug, or other compound that can destroy or interfere with the fine network of blood vessels needed by tumors to grow and metastasize)

​Powerful antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast, fungi, Protozoa, and enveloped viruses that often cause infection. Research performed at the University of Paris has revealed this peptide to be effective at killing specific types of cancer cells.

Inhibits proliferation and colony formation of various human tumor cell types.

Phyllocarulein

Hypotension neuropeptide. Stimulates adrenal cortex and pituitary gland.

Phyllokinin (bradykinins)

Focus on the bradykinin receptors; involved in circadian rhythm, sensory nerve transmission, and inflammatory pain.

Relaxes smooth muscles. Potent vasodilator, increasing permeability of blood-brain barrier.

Long lasting reduction in blood pressure.

Phyllomedusin (tachykinins)

Strongly affects intestines and bowels. Contributes to deep purge of toxins.

Interacts with tachykinin receptors, shown to regulate functions of dopamine, serotonin, and other neurotransmitters.

Contracts smooth muscles and increases secretion of entire gastrointestinal tract.

Potent vasodilator, increasing permeability of blood-brain barrier.

Tryptophyllins

Potential in cardiovascular, inflammatory, and anti-cancer therapy. Helps remove the yeast, candida.

My experience doing Kambo with Trina was nothing short of magical. Although it’s never a comfortable process, she was with me, with all of her being, fully, throughout every bit of the process. Before, during and after, I felt an overwhelming sense of support- which in itself is immensely healing! She is a powerful Reiki master too, and very good psychic. So she was able to do deep energy work on me throughout the process and communicated messages from other realms to me as well, which created incredible results! She gave me amazing reminders, encouraged me, and I never felt like my boundaries were crossed (unlike I have felt before during similar experiences with other practitioners...) She is super respectful, highly knowledgeable and incredibly powerful. It changed my life definitely, the days afterwards I was feeling so much more gratitude for everything in my life. I can’t help myself I’m a story teller at heart so here’s the tldr. Trina is an amazing friend, spiritual healer, mentor goddess and an inspiration to me! I’m grateful to have met Trina and excited to see how the both of us will grow in time! Maybe one day I can act as her shaman haha!! But this is about her! She has helped me immensely on my healing journey and always makes me feel well cared for and understood! Highly recommend working with her! FULL STORY

Let me tell y’all the story of the first time I met Trina. I was feeling down in the dumps on a sunny day. I was cruising around on my onewheel and felt called to head to the beach. I saw a teepi with a sign saying tarot readings and sure enough there was Trina giving an older gentleman a reading. I had never seen a “psychic” out an about before so ya know I had to wait in line. I didn’t want to be intrusive of the other gentleman’s reading so I sat down a ways away and thought about my intentions. I was mainly just looking for guidance, I felt extremely lost! When the person ahead of me finally left I made my way to Trina’s teepi with a big grin on my face. Haha I remember laughing I had thought she’d be older or atleast look it haha. I was skeptical but before we could really start she told me “ahhh I really need to use the bathroom can I trust you to watch my stuff as I go.” I said “sure” and as she ran off I began scanning all the artifacts and medicines she had brought. Normally I’d be called to get a tarot card reading since I read myself but for some reason this bent stick with holes on either side felt like it was beckoning to me. When Trina came back I inquired “what’s that stick thing?” And she smiled and said something along the lines of “ah ha I wasn’t going to bring my tépi but I was told someone I’d be meeting today would want to partake in it’s medicine” I smiled excited at the thought of trying something new. What happened afterwards blew me away! Trina blew shamanic snuff up me nostrils and lead me through a guided meditation? Something of the sort? [ PRATYAHARA ] She took me back to being a kid and talking to that version of myself, something I had never really done before. My inner child was so sad and angry he had been forgotten. He told me I need to be less hard on myself and learn to play again, life is not a race. Trina also was able to guide me through feeling my own energetic field. Needless to say the session was truly magical. As we were wrapping things up she prompted me by saying you may leave a donation if you feel called but it is not necessary. I couldn’t believe it she was going to let me walk away without paying for her service. No way josé! She gave me her business card, we hugged and I went on my way with lots to contemplate. Knowing that I’d see her again!

Fast forward a month and a half or so later. Trina and I had hung out a couple times and she had given me some homework to research into other medicines since I too have an interest in being a shaman. I remember saying to Trina “one day I wanna be just like you err well like you but still myself haha you know what I mean” anyways I was feeling pretty negative and frustrated with where I was in my life and unsure how to move forward. Felt like every step forward was followed by two steps back. So one day at work we had to stay overtime and I had just worked a ten hour frustrating shift and the machines kept breaking so I ended up actually walking out. The next day I had a dream I called out and I got up that day to find my one wheel wasn’t charged and I wouldn’t make it in to work any where close to on time. So I took it as a sign to call out. Later on that day Trina messages me saying hey whatcha up to I tell her what happened and she invites me over. I had contemplated doing kambo a week prior and this was the perfect time I hadn’t ate anything prior. And so Trina walked me through the process reminded me to think of my intentions. I wanted to really purge out the self hatred I’ve had for myself. And so it began I started purging badly I even shat myself!! Trina was very supportive and encouraged me to drink water even though I really didn’t want to! Felt like that scene in Harry Potter when Dumbledore is drinking out of this fountain that makes him hallucinate but he’s gotta drink it all. After what felt like forever of puking I begged Trina to make it stop. After the medicine was done working on me I felt lighter. Not just physically but mentally and spiritually like I have been cleansed. After that experience I definitely don’t judge myself as much and in turn changed me to where I don’t judge others as much either. Real powerful medicine.
